The correct brushing technique is the key to healthy teeth. Here's how to brush:

Brush twice a day for at least three minutes each time.
The toothbrush must be held at a 45-degree angle against the gumline, then gently brush the outside surfaces. Sweep the brush away from the gumline in an up-down motion.
Brush the inside surfaces using small, up-down strokes at the front and circular motion at the back.
Brush the chewing surfaces forwards and backwards.
Bacteria grows on your tongue, so brush it, too.
Floss to get rid of plaque that bristles cannot reach.
Gargle with mouthwash, which makes it more difficult for plaque to adhere to teeth.
