From the Master
Security

"We've had a security alert just yesterday warning of a gang of young men who have been assaulting people in Anzac Parade in the Kingsford area (close to College). Lisa Sutherland wrote to me yesterday indicating that a series of attacks had occurred over the weekend from midnight through to 4.00am. One attack involved residents of Baxter and another was observed by a member of Baxter. There appears to be a small group of about 3 young males, about 14-16 years old who are targeting groups coming along Anzac Parade, in small numbers from The Regent or Churchill's as well as The Doncaster. The group approach, with push bikes in hand, abuse the students, then throw their bikes at them and attack/assault them. One of the Baxter residents was knocked unconscious on Thursday evening when returning from Churchill's. This small group is then joined by about 10-12 more young males to form a larger gang. No doubt the police are pursuing the group concerned but you should exercise great care when walking Anzac Parade at night. I'd suggest you avoid walking around the area at night unless necessary and only then in a large group."

hmm.. so it seems like i won't be going to mac for supper after midnight for a while.. my food is necessary.. but i'll just have to find other things to fill me.. and this is other than the lebanese gangs which frequent mac.. nevermind, if i really go, angels will watch over me..
