By expecting a perfect church, a person will just be dreaming. Yes we do hope and pray that our needs will be met in the church but sometimes they will not be. The church is made up of humans and humans are imperfect. We were once perfect but we fell. So it makes the church imperfect. Even though the church is imperfect and people get hurt even in the church or by the church, we still try. We try our best to help one another. We try our best to love and be there for each other. We pray for one another. Even though we're imperfect, we have a God who is perfect. Despite our shortcomings, He still chooses to use us and work through us to change this world.
By expecting a perfect church, a person will be expecting the impossible to happen. Yes people can quote the bible and say "With God, all things are possible". That is true. The church will be perfect one day. That one day is on the way. That day will come when Jesus comes back for his church.
By expecting a perfect church, a person will be dissapointed. Yes the church may look perfect from the outside but the minute you step in, the church becomes an imperfect church.
Friends, lets put our trust in God and not in man. People will let us down but God will never leave us nor forsake us.
